LaFollette, Tennessee is a peaceful escape to the lake around 45 minutes north of Knoxville. Norris Lake is the primary waterway here for some gorgeous lake homes. The land the city is now on was originally purchased by Harvey and Grant LaFollette for a coal, iron, and railway company back in the 1800's. While the company the brother's had built did not survive, the town of LaFollette flourished. Many locals now see the Norris lake area in LaFollete as a small getaway to enjoy time on the lake during the summer. This area is home to some of the finest waterfront restaurants and even a local winery. LaFollette is a smaller town in the Eastern Tennessee area, and will definitely give you the hometown feeling.
